A fully versatile product, Horticultural Potting Grit is lime-free and can be used throughout the garden.
Horticultural Potting Grit:
This horticultural grade grit is a gardener’s favourite as it can be used to complete many jobs around the garden.
Drainage in heavy or clay-based soils can be instantly improved by adding Horticultural Potting Grit. Simply dig over the soil and incorporate the potting grit.
The tiny pieces of grit then create air holes so water can drain through the soil more efficiently. The newly created pockets of air also aid root growth as the roots now have room to expand.
Horticultural Potting Grit is also used to weigh down plant pots and containers, as well as used as a top dressing for newly planted patio and ornamental plants.

Click & Collect
Handy Household is currently offering a click and collect service from our store in Sandbach, Cheshire.
Almost all orders are processed the same day for collection unless otherwise stated, however Handy Household reserves the right to process orders for collection within 1 to 2 business, (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order is ready.
In-store pickup
You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup Handy Household after placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up the same day unless otherwise stated on the product or at checkout. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions.
Our in-store pickup hours are 9:15 – 5:15 (Monday-Friday) and 10:15 – 3:45 on (Sundays) we are open 7 days a week. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.
Refunds, returns, and exchanges
Returns of any kind are processed the same as an in-store purchase, we accept returns up to 30 days after purchase, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount.
